With its California Common Style Beer, Argus Brewery pays homage to the historic beers produced in California from the mid- 1800's to the mid-1900's. Traditionally known in brewing circles as California Common Style, the key distinguishing feature of this style of beer is that it is fermented with a special lager yeast that is fermented at warmer ale temperatures. Copper colored and medium bodied, it has a full malt flavor with a spicy,herbal hop character highlighted by a very unique character from the fermentation that is unlike any traditional Ale or Lager.

Argus Holsteiner Lager

Marzen Style Lager ABV 6.0%

Argus Holsteiner Lager is a copper colored lager beer that is malt accented, very smooth and gently hopped with the finest German Noble hop varieties. Traditionally brewed in Spring and served in Fall at festivals, it is a fine accompaniment to all Germanic styles of food.

Argus Pegasus IPA

India Pale Ale ABV 6.5%

A prominent to intense hop aroma with a citrusy, floral and/ or fruity character derived from American hops. Color ranges from medium gold to medium reddish copper. Medium-high to very high hop bitterness, although the malt backbone will support the strong hop character and provide the best balance. A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong india pale ale.
