Chicago native Bob Jensen is the co-founder and owner of Argus Brewery. Prior to Argus, Bob had a two-decade long career with Hub Group before taking an early retirement in 1999. Jensen and his son Patrick founded Argus Brewery in 2009.

Patrick Jensen is the co-founder and owner of Argus Brewery. As a beer enthusiast, Jensen took an interest in the craft brewing culture. Mentored by his father, Jensen dabbles in all facets of the business from brewing to delivering to working the books.
Joe Mengel, Vice President
Favorite Style Beer: Pale Ale
As Vice President of Argus Brewery, Joe Mengel brings over 35 years of experience in the beverage industry. Mengel joined the Argus team in 2004, and prior to that managed retail operations, human resources, and training throughout the Chicago area. Mengel is the key contact for all things Argus.
Mary Pellettieri, Brew master
Renowned beverage expert Mary Pellettieri joined Argus in 2015. With over 20 years experience, Pellettieri began initially at the Siebel Institute in Chicago as a Chemist and Microbiologist, and later as a teacher in Sensory Management during the 1990’s growth of craft and regional breweries. In 2001 Pellettieri joined Goose Island Beer Company in Chicago, and later worked with MillerCoors.
At Argus, Pellettieri joined Patrick Jensen as Brew Master with a mission to refine and tweak each of the brands in order to create a line that has distinctiveness, and represents the value of the brewery.
John Freyer, High, Exalted Grand Poobah

John Freyer joined Argus Brewery in 2015, bringing nearly three decades of experience in the beer industry including at 3 Floyds Brewering Co. Fryer is responsible for distributor management and relationships.
Ted Furman, Brew Master
A pioneer of the Chicago craft beer industry, Ted Furman joined Argus in 2016. He began his professional brewing career almost 30 years ago as an Assistant Brewmaster with Sieben’s River North Brewing Company and in 1990, started the Golden Prairie Brewing Company where he produced first-of-a-kind hybrid products such as Golden Prairie Maple Stout, Golden Prairie Buckwheat Ale and the 1994 World Champion Golden Prairie Honey Ginger beer. Ted has employed, trained and mentored several of the most talented and successful brewers in the industry from places like 3 Floyds, Revolution Brewing and Jester King.
